A MUG Member asked me, do I know of any pre-made website templates for Matterport photographers? How would you answer this question? I could imagine four answers: 1. A MUG Member offers this service, but I do not know it 2. If you know that you would like to use WP3D Models WordPress Plugin to manage your models and create single property websites, then you might look for a WordPress template 3. If you know that you would like to use WIX, Squarespace or other hosting platform, then look for a template within those communities 4. Other? If you are just starting out, I encourage you to review other Matterport Pros websites. The easiest way to do that, is clicking on the homepage links of 75 Pros in the Guide to Matterport Service Providers curated by We Get Around. (PM me for a free 30-day pass until 1 June 2016) (Thank you in advance for your patience, I am attending the IVRPA conference in Quebec City the week of 23 May 2016, so I may be slow to reply.) What are your thoughts about pre-made website templates for Matterport photographers? Best, Dan |

I use Onetone (template for word press) and using the WP3D Models WordPress Plugin for adding new models to the site. |

Also note that you don't HAVE to exclusively pick one platform over another. While I love the flexibility that WordPress offers for your entire site, many WP3D Models customers are using our solution to manage just their portfolios of properties. They do this by installing WP3D on a "subdomain". This method allows your the option of using WP3D with WordPress alongside your preferred marketing site solution (SquareSpace, WIX, SmugMug, etc.) that lives at your root domain. Hosting solutions like GoDaddy offer very affordable (Managed) WordPress hosting for as little as $3-4/mo and can easily be configured in this manner. Electing to go this hybrid route allows you to easily get started using WP3D Models on whatever "subdomain" identifier you choose. Here are some examples that I've seen others set up: http://gallery.yourdomainname.com http://tours.yourdomainname.com http://3d.yourdomainname.com http://spaces.yourdomainname.com Hope that helps! Since I already have a hosting plan that lets me add as many websites as I want, what would be the best way to go? | ||
