As I've been shooting older homes I'm noticing that I'm constantly adjusting the spread of my tripod legs to work around narrow hallways and odd layouts. Is there either a device that can modify the spread of the tripod legs or some other solution? |

Try not extending the legs all the way and raising the center column to return to the usual height. Depending on the tripod this may not be as stable so, be careful - probably best not to raise the center column to more than about 1/2 of it's max. Also should be OK to have the camera a little lower in hallways if necessary.

Thanks @pmjacoby & @DanSmigrod, I appreciate the feedback. DanSmigrod I actually have your set-up (thank you). Though it definitely makes it easier I've been thinking if I had a narrower footprint it would save time transitioning in between scans as I find myself making multiple adjustments to simply fit the legs into the space. |

@DanSmigrod Are you referring to not extended the bottom legs and raising the center so that the camera is at 60 inches?
