Matterport MatterTags visible through floors and walls: Help please?!17964

DEGMedia private msg quote post Address this user
Hi

I have been populating a tour with mattertags but I'm having an issue. The tags are reaching into panos they shouldn't be in. It can be from the floor below or room next door.

I'm missing something in the settings or anyone have any tips?

Thanks
Mark

Hi Mark,

MatterTags need to "anchor" where there is "mesh" (scan data).

Could this be causing the problem:

@DEGMedia Press "0" key some times (Which between "9" and "-" ), you can switch the debug mode of Matterport showcase, and you can see the 3d mesh and wiremesh also. So that you can know which mattertag has problem and why.

Thanks guys. It was an interesting building shape (wind tunnel) and a cloudy day, so I managed to get a lot of the outside. In trying to crop and tidy, I've been too aggressive and with the tip above, I can see that I've accidentally removed the mesh in a couple of important areas. Fortunately, I duplicated the model so I can roll back. Thanks again. Mark

@JuMP

That's neat!

@DEGMedia

Cool!

If possible, can you post the (finished) Wind Tunnel model here?

What's the "use-case" of a Matterport tour of a Wind Tunnel?

Thanks,

Dan

Will do Dan. A research arm of a University operates it, and they have difficulty in allowing visitors to the location in numbers. There's expensive, sensitive equipment, trip hazards, utilities etc.

Thanks
Mark
