| I had read in a post by @Wingman that he found that the tripod adapter didn't close properly. True, it happened to me and you can't scan anymore and you have to go back to the office. Now I also have a Allen key in my suitcase. Tighten the adapter screw and check it from time to time. Greetings Emiliano |

| Yes the nut needs to me monitored and tightened as required. It is a number 3 allen key which you can buy on it’s own or as part of most sets. |
