Hmmmmm.... can you share that space?

I could imagine that Matterport processing got confused because the staircases all looked the same.

If that's the case, how might you make the staircase scans unique? For example, include a traffic cone (and move the traffic cone for each scan so that the traffic cone is in a unique location.

That is also my understanding. And then it is my understanding that you told us that he should create three additional floors, that is, one new floor for each of three buildings, so, one model, three two-story structures, four floors total (original floor plus three new floors).

In other words, it appears that you are suggesting that he use the original first floor for all three structures in the model plus the grounds between the structures, and then create a new floor for each of the three structures' second floor (four floors total).

Is that what you are telling us to do?

If this is the case, I would think he should scan the entire ground level in all the structures and connecting grounds first. Then in structure #1, scan the stairs to the top, where he creates and scans Floor 2. Then go to structure #2, scan the stairs to the top, where he creates and scans Floor 3. Then he goes to structure #3, scan the stairs t the top, where he will create and scan Floor 4.

	Just got a new matterport pro 3 camera. I haven't found any information on this...I have three 2 level buildings on site....how do I go about scanning all the stair cases for each building if I am trying to capture all three structures in one model.

	Yeah I am still uncertain as well...I did a commercial building once with a matterport pro 2 camera and tried to scan two stair cases within the two story structure and I had problem navigating done the second stair case back onto the first level once the 3d model was produced.

	Good evening everyone. I can tell you my experience. I scanned a historic building consisting of 3 staircases and two buildings, with 5 floors above ground and two underground. I have carried out over 1300 stations with Matterport PRO2 and 100 with the brand new PRO3 (FANTASTIC!!!) only warning, divide the floors correctly. nothing matters the starting point further down, but getting there correctly. greetings Emiliano

	@BeyondFrontDoor Congrats on your purchase of the Matterport Pro3 Camera. And, welcome to the WGAN Forum. To end up with one (1) Matterport model with all three (3) buildings, scan outdoors between the buildings to connect them. when you do scan - going from indoors to outdoors and outdoors to indoors - keep the door open for a great distance (instead of opening the door just when you approach the door for the next scan). Best practices for scanning stars is to start at the bottom and work your way up. On your iPad, create a "new floor" for each floor that you are scanning. While "new floor" does not affect Matterport processing, it does make it easy for you to see if you have completed all the scans that you need for each floor. Does the above help? Best, Dan

	Yes, I have wondered about this two. I have never encountered two staircases in one building yet, but that day will arrive. Without instructions, I would do it this way: 1. Scan the entire first floor. 2. Scan one of the staircases from the first floor up, and in the Capture app, create the second floor at the top of that stair case. 3. Scan the entire second floor EXCEPT the landing at the top of the second staircase. 4. Go back down to the first floor to the bottom of the second staircase, switch to the first floor in the Capture app, and scan that staircase from the bottom up. 5. At the top landing of the second staircase, switch to the second floor, and scan the last location on the second floor. I do not know if this is the correct best practice. And in @BeyondFrontDoor's case of three separate two-story buildings, each with one staircase (or, god-forbid, more than one per building!), I really don't know. Interested to hear Dan's clarification.

	You can do it as a loop. Scan ground floor, scan staircase to the first floor, scan the first floor and return to the ground floor through scanning the second staircase.
