This is a site scan with the pro3 camera.

I am downloading the E57 file for this project. I’ll let you know how it goes, but I was surprised it was 36 GB.

I downloaded the E57 file. It’s extemely detailed and accurate. I do not envy those who don’t have Matterport or Cyclone. It was a little work to get the pointcloud I desire (usually the Matterpak .xyz file). You have to be concerned with clipping and intensity. Also, I didn’t have much experience processing lidar scans; so it was a learning process.

The E57 has points from people who walk through the scan, where they are removed from the Matterpak .xyz file. I suspect that the Materport model is generated from raw sweeps and the .xyz file is generated from the model.

Be aware, the E57 file from this project was 36GB and the Recap file generated from it was 45GB. I was using a AMD Ryzen 9, GeForce RTX 3080, 16GB (probably need 64GB for this), 1TB SSD gaming machine. The process to a while.

I’ll just stick to the Matterpak .xyz file for now on.
