Usually you get that kind of stuff with the pro 2 when it's to close. I never had it happen with z1.

Was it possible that it is where the two spheres were stitched together and being near the wall?

Did you keep the Ricoh Theta Z1 parallel to the wall (best practice) versus perpendicular (side of camera) towards the wall (likely reason for the stitching problem).

The Ricoh Theta Z1 camera orientation matters when the camera is close to walls.

Hmmm interesting... so if the side of the camera is aimed into the room, it's less likely to have stitching issues? I'll look into that... makes sense. Thanks Dan

Yes! Nothing to stitch on the wall: just stitching between the two lenses down/up the hallway. Because that's in the distance, you will not see bad stitching.
