Mr "broken record" here again. Matterport will continue to "Uberize" its business. If you want to succeed (or even survive) you MUST develop, market and deliver virtual tours WAY beyond the limitations of what Matterport can do. You can be a drone who is paid less than a living wage to do what hundreds of other people are willing to do as cheap or cheaper, or you can stand out in the field of Virtual Touring. My post was meant to be slightly sarcastic. In other words. If you're a Matterport provider you may want to consider looking elsewhere for technology. Otherwise you'll only be helping VHT and Matterport grow at your expense or end up shooting for them. That is a beautiful tour. |

3DVista would be a really decent alternative... if it had a dollhouse/floor plan view. But it's no Matterport - neither by brand or viewer experience. The point on differentiation is key. | ||

SMH... As a few MP providers have remarked, I would order a huge 100k SF scan and buy the minimum package for photos, then sell that to a client owning the property for 20x. | ||

I can compete with VHT better than they know. Don't let the teaser price fool you. My photos are all Gold level, and the Matterport combined with photos is LESS than VHT - same or better quality. VHT charges $599 for simple drone photos. Here's why they cannot dominate and what most agents want: VHT $240 photos $99 Matterport and Floor plan (limited time) $599 drone ---------- $938 My Services $175 photos $100 Matterport (request floor plans for free) $50 drone ---------- $325 I know I'm priceed perfect, and could stand to earn more, but as long as VHT pushes these prices, I can convince my local agencies than they have the advantage with me: I''m local and provide the same service for 1/3 less than VHT. |
