Hi everyone, Our Matterport MC200 camera is producing stitch lines when capturing images. In one particular area of the image, the line is very noticeable as it shows a different level of contrast in the image. A sample image is attached. The camera firmware and Capture app are up to date. Has anybody experienced this before and would anybody know what could be causing the issue? Thanks. |

My experience is that the preview is just that, a very rough view of the 360 scan. Useful to see if somebody has got in the way or sun flare for example. I think you will find these disappear on the final space. | ||

As mentioned above, this is how the different camera images are shaded in the capture app....you cannot judge image quality/shading from within the capture app. The shading defects seen in the capture app will not appear in your processed model. What you can look for in the images in the capture app is misalignments in the stitching of the images. Mis-alignment of images at the vertical stitching lines in the capture app. Look at horizontal lines in the image (shelving, baseboards, crown moulding etc), where those horizontal lines intersect with the vertical stitching lines. If you see significant misalignments there (say more than 1/2 inch at 10 ft away) your camera probably has some problems with the frame/chassis, this is usually a bent internal structural component as the result of the camera being dropped. |
