'Should I switch to Commercial Real Estate instead of Residential Real Estate?' Hi All, A WGAN Member writes: -- Hi Dan, ... I wanted to let you know I’m seriously considering moving away entirely from the residential side of the business except for a few existing and invite only clients. I was wondering, however, if you have seen the demand for commercial media increasing over the last six months and if there is an uptick in leads from your corporate sources. This could be for any media, not just Matterport, which we are doing less of lately. Let me know as I would be ... and am looking for ways to streamline and go further into my more profitable (and sane) niches. Thanks, as always, for your support. Best, [redact] --- How would you reply? Best, Dan |

Hi All, I received this follow-up from the WGAN Member that has this question ... --- Thanks Dan! Will be great to see what folks chime in with. I think they all want to shoot commercial but have a hard time breaking in, however, once they get in they don’t want to do residential anymore! I have seen a slight uptick in my commercial business recently. Also, the 3DVista platform has created some fairly profitable jobs. The revenue from the average commercial job I do is equal to 10-12 homes, can generally be done in much less time and travel, and 1/2 of my commercial accounts have there own Matterport account so they pay the processing fees. Still not booking enough to deep6 the residential side yet, but hoping to be there soon. | ||

@rzphotoman Any tips on how to price commercial work as opposed to residential? I am also trying to move away from residential real estate and move towards more commercial work. I’ve done a few jobs so far but feel I am way undercharging. |
