| Hello About to purchase my first matterport camera. I'm real excited about this technology. But I must say I'm curious does anyone know when the next 3D matterport camera will come out, I have heard rumors of a commercial 3D camera coming out soon that will scan higher in big rooms and with higher ceilings |

| welcome, where did you hear those rumors? I haven't heard anything about new hardware. They do constant software updates to workshop almost every month and firmware for the camera every few months. cheers  |

| We have been working with MP head office a lot and we had a skype call with the Product Manager some months ago and this was one of the things she asked us - what did we think about a "Pro" version of the camera which could do a lot more including potentially external shooting. Obviously it would come at a much higher price point but I guess it would separate the in house shooters from the professionals. We were excited about the concept but considering we are struggling to get people pay the minimum that we now charge I wonder how we would get them to pay a premium price! No time line was put on it during our conversation. |

| I would prefer for Matterport to work on some software solutions that were suggested in this forum to incorporate exterior shots, upload cleaned up obj and other ideas than for them thinking aout a hardware updates at a higher price point. How much will need to charge per scan if the new camera costs, let's say for the sake of argument $10,000? | ||

| Well, it is nice to know that Matterport is looking ahead, but I have to disagree with the "Pro" version of the camera because we were sold this camera as a Pro version two years ago with the plan to upgrade it with more features. I also would love to see a little more interaction from Matterport, I do not expect them to spill the beans on what they are doing but would love a little better interaction on where we are on the list of "WANTS", if this is the largest forum of users then why wouldn't our input bear some weight on needs. The list is simple even though it seems to grow. But it would be simple to say, item want one - not possible ever, item 2, not enough interest to warrant design, item 3 - work in progress, item - 4 under design looking for input, item - 5 release date 2017. Or we are no longer putting design interests in this current camera and looking to develop a new camera don't ask for anything else. I would love input so we know what we need to do to help, it is great they take input but we also need a little interaction and feedback. I love they are working on new ideas, but are these from an engineers point of view or a users point of view. I think both would be great. The dialogue I would hope would be a little more two way.
