Hey Mark,

Great question. I think that square footage is just one of many variables that we use to determine custom price quotes.

We also consider the following:

- Location (Travel Distance)

- Building access and occupancy

- Project schedule and delivery speed

- Days required on site

- Types of deliverables needed (Scan to BIM etc.)

- Level of detail required (Matterport Pro2 or Leica BLK 360)

- Complexity of the interior spaces and exterior facade

- Number of recommended scanning personnel

- Other client requirements, such as overnight or weekend scanning

I hope this helps,

Aaron Rice

Almost all of our client order Floorplans. We use https://home3ds.com/
When you order a floorplan, you enter the Space address, and they give you a square footage estimate.

We used to use and love Jump! Matterport really sucks for forcing them to shut down. They should AT THE VERY LEAST provide the same service if they force a third party to stop providing it.

@ArchimedStudio Totally agree with you, if they're going to shut them down, please just provide the info. They've already got it anyway like you said.

@ArchimedStudio if they do provide the same service, they will charge us for it. I will bet the farm on that. Or it will be a "new" feature of the PRO3 to justify the cost. There are other solutions I have used that gives this for free.

@ArchimedStudio I have a question: how can a floorplans provider get the sqft result without being a "Violation of Matterport Terms"?
Does 3rd party floorplan of a Matterport showcase belong to "Violation of Matterport Terms"?
The 3rd party floorplan of a Matterport showcase is obvious a business activities that using the data from a Matterport result and compete Matterport's floorplan directly.

If the 3rd party floorplan can be exist without being "Violation of Matterport Terms", why JuMP's sqft should be closed?
Anyone familiar with the USA law can clarify this will be very appreciated?

@JuMP you have a very good point. I think yes, because of their fine print they own all the data. Just wondering people with SDK access, because they pay Matterport a fee they allow it. Why would Matterport also say when they create your floor plans you are not allowed to remove their branding from your work you paid for.

So waiting to see what Matterport will reply , and if they will ever replay on this forum.
