Please - I'm sports nut and would love to learn more about anyone's experience with this sector. I see where Major League baseball has 360° of all the ball parks. Not sure whose technology they used. I 'googled' several indoor collegiate basketball arenas and they all have still shots type tour. Anyone have thoughts about indoor large arenas or sports applications in general? Sidenote: kudos to your all generosity in sharing your experiences and replying & responding to the numerous inquiries of us rookies and those of us considering entering this new and growing Matterport community. Never seen such a responsive 'forum/blog' - thank you for sharing and caring. |

Hi yes we do. Its done with 360 video rigs like 360hero from gopro. We use this rigs with 6, 12, and 18 Gopro hero4's If you want static 360 video thats simple. just place 4 180 degree cameras on a tripot facing, north, east, south and west. Turn on your cameras, clap for sinc and their you have it. Afther recording put your files in Kolor or other software to stitch and you have done your first 360 video. Shooting 3D or 360 dynamic, moving footage is a different league. To shoot in 4K you need a minimum of 8 cams, better is 12 or even 16 so you have enough overlap. And you have a lot more work in post. But it is great fun doing it. We are in the filming business for mor then 15 years but with this "new" technic its like completetly starting all over again forgetting everything you know. Its a great challange. Grtz Rene. |
