Quickest Apple iPad for Matterport Speed?16673

west360digital private msg quote post Address this user
Does anyone know the quickest iPad for scanning Matterports?

I have an iPhone 13 and it is not bad, but was wondering if there is a quicker iPad option for scanning.

I notice sometimes it being slow after the scan is completed, but the uploading after the circle/scanning (where it says Don't Move until completed) is completed can be delayed.

If I plan on scanning 400-500 properties this year X 20-50 scans and I could shave off 5 - 10 seconds per scan, it could save me 5 - 10 minutes per house/apartment.

Any thoughts?

Thanks,

The latest model of an Ipad Pro with maximum possible RAM will be the best.

Thanks for the info!

I did 2 tests:

iPhone 13 - 40 seconds for total scanning, uploading, aligned and ready to scan again.

iPad 32GB (2017)- 46 seconds for total scanning, uploading, aligned and ready to scan again.

I think this new Ipad Pro with M1 Chip would be better. 8RAM and 16RAM options. I think there is probably an improvement on Matterport's end that could improve the speed. If I could get this down to 30 seconds, it could save a ton of time. It sounds petty, but it could save 10s of hours over a full year of MP'ing.
