Hi all, Using insta360+ ipad 2021 Can you scan (Yacht or a building) from upper floors to lower ones ? Boat: Can I start from outside as floor#3 then floor 2& 1 ? Building: Can I scan from upper floors downwards ? ? |

Question 1) yes, no problem. Make sure that you create all necessary floors in before you start scanning. Then start on the upper floor and go downwards. Question 2) No, Matterport will probably merge they layers during processing. But worth a try, this could look good. But you can duplicate the model in capture app and try this effect in the copy. Question 3) Yes, see question 1. |

@MeshImages thanks for the quick reply, Do you mean that scanning a boat from outside in will not work (but scanning a building from upper to lower will work ?) For a boat: Floor4: top seating area of boat Floor3: main deck/boat nose level. Floor2: boat shell (inside boat). Floot1: lower area level with cabins. If I create floors in capture app, Can I start from Top to bottom ? Reason: I did a bad smboat scan yesterday.. where inside boat was good but as I moved upwoards and outside it got very messy. So I want to start with the outside to secure a good scan first. Hisham |

@skyload300 scanning from outside to inside will work, but not on separate floors (one for outside and another one for inside). The way you describe it on 4 floors will work fine. |
