In this tutorial, we walk through the steps of capturing a 3D model using photogrammetry, and converting it into an animated character for Augmented Reality. The entire workflow is done using an iPhone and an iPad. Tools used: - Polycam app - https://poly.cam/ - Adobe Mixamo - http://mixamo.com - Sketchfab - http://sketchfab.com |

@saulius The tool I used to animate myself (Mixamo) only works for human shaped characters. Doors, windows and other mechanical equipment would need to be manually animated with other 3D tools such as Blender, 3DS Max or else. That requires some 3D artist to do the trick. | ||

Blender is a fantastic free tool for 3D animation and CGI content. You can buy a video course for it on Udemy for like $25 and by the end of it you should be able to do a lot of things in Blender. I am 25% through this one https://www.udemy.com/course/the-blender-encyclopedia/ and it is great. |
