Today, there are Matterport capture solutions at the low (Ricoh Theta Z1, Insta360 ONE X2), medium (Pro2) and high end (BLK360) price points. If Matterport partnered with camera companies, it might be able to exist the manufacturing of cameras and accelerate innovation by not competing with camera companies. 1. | A Pro3 would be cool I think. And, ultimately good for our business, to differentiate us. I expect it is coming soon. They have the money now, and they need to keep that stock price up. I'd expect much higher image quality from better lenses and sensors. Exterior scanning should be possible. Add faster spins and better wifi for quicker transfer and I would be quite happy. |
