Matterport Business- how's it going?15489

I'm curious how other MSPs sales have grown (or not) thru the years.

We started with MP in 2017. Here are the approximate fluctuations/variations in number of scans we have done since then with brief comments.

2017- Baseline year = 100 points. Introduced, one of first in county. Cheap, cheap pricing.

2018- 209 points. Business doubles, slight price increases.

2019- 128 points. Business down by almost 40%. Competitors everywhere locally.

2020- 329 points. Business triple that of first/baseline year. 2 1/2 time previous year. Raised prices a bit.

2021- on pace for around 210 points. Hmmmm. Back down to 2018 level.

What is your experience?

Will our Matterport scan numbers go up next year when the housing market normalizes a bit?

Started in 2019 after being laid off, it’s not been the boon I thought it was going to be. I’ve completed well over 100 scans, my pricing packages are a few dollars cheaper than some competitors, photography game and video game are strong but the jobs are not constant.

Getting my foot in the door with realtors and commercial builders has been next to impossible, and realtors that give me positive reviews seem to evaporate into the ether. Friends who are realtors tell me they have to use the provider their real estate team uses.

I’m giving it one more year before I sell the Matterport maybe sooner if my search for a full-time graphic artist postion becomes available
