Doing a Matterport demo at an event? Matterport Spaces Demo: 13-Essentials | $1,300 Matterport Spaces + VR Demo: 17 Essentials | $2,150 I am frequently asked, how much does it cost to launch a Matterport Service Provider business. While my answer is $10,000 to get started (plus a laptop, smartphone, internet), $10,000 does not include doing a table top demo event. So, add another $1,300 for Matterport Spaces demo or $2,150 for Matterport Spaces + VR demo. My Matterport Shopping Lists 1. Matterport Service Provider Table Top Demo Event Shopping List 2. Matterport Pro 3D Camera Gear and Accessories 3. Matterport VR Showcase Beta Gear and Accessories Shopping List 4. Do not bring business cards. Ask for the attendees card or ask them to write down their info. 2. The Insignia TV is super-light and has vivid colors and you can loop videos easily. 3. While you can get a less expensive Blu-ray or DVD players, this one is easy to tell if it is on. Blu-ray plays needs to be wide enough to sit on top of the pedestal 4. The DVD burner (burn videos to DVD) 5. I use a different trash can – the pedestal – that I found at Costco. 6. iPad – not on the shopping list. I assume you have one! If you participate in home shows, bridal shows, tech events, real estate agent events, what other gear and accessories do you bring? Got an "essentials" list on a related Matterport topic? Please start a new thread. Thanks, Dan Disclosure: I am an Amazon Associate. I get paid a referral fee when you buy through these links with Amazon. |

I got an ipad anti theft stand so people can browse the model without me having to oversee where the ipad is at any given time. The one I got was Brateck Anti Theft (on Amazon) for £ 35. It also serves a purpose of entertaining people while they wait in line for trying the Gear VR demo. (Do a complete walkthrough so the model is cached on the ipad, then switch to "airplane" mode and you don´t have to worry about dodgy wifi). The imac is looping a video capture of some various examples, residential and commercial properties. Also, for the next one I´m bringing a low swivel chair so people can take a seat while doing the Gear VR demo. |

@3DscannUK Wow! That's a great idea about the anti theft display mount. Plus, fun seeing your banner. We do not bring the camera to demos. When people ask how we do that, we simply say, "It's magic!" Dan |

@DanSmigrod Thanks I wouldn´t bring the camera to a property tradeshow, this one was a VR related tradeshow so I whent back and forth with myself a couple of times before deciding to display it. I don´t think it added any value so I will not bring it for the next one. My plan was to scan the venue, but most of the exhibitors were so late with their setups so there wasn´t time to scan it before guests arrived. |

Instead of duct tape, use gaffers tape to tape down wires. It doesn't leave any sticky residues and venues will penalize you for "ruined" carpet. | ||

A MUG Member sent me a PM asking about exhibiting at an event with 300+ brokers and developers. Other suggestions for exhibiting at a trade show? Dan |
