Best, Dan Transcript (Matterport video above) [00:00:05] David Purdy: Swinerton has been around (it seems like) forever. [00:00:08] David Purdy: We started in 1888. [00:00:10] David Purdy: We still have in California contractor to license number 92. [00:00:14] Rachel Kurth: We have offices across the US. [00:00:17] Rachel Kurth: We do an array of projects. Anything from interiors all the way to renewable energy. [00:00:23] David Purdy: Parking garage to a high-rise to anything in aviation. [00:00:27] Rachel Kurth: You name it, we do it. [00:00:28] Rachel Kurth: We basically do anything but residential. [00:00:31] Spencer Jarrett: We can always talk about what we're doing, [00:00:32] Spencer Jarrett: but we use Matterport as a way to show [00:00:34] Spencer Jarrett: our ownership and some of our design team, what we've done. [00:00:38] Rachel Kurth: We really sought out the Matterport to provide an additional level of transparency. [00:00:44] David Purdy: Matterport has been truly a game changer [00:00:46] David Purdy: for Swinerton and for the construction industry in general. [00:00:51] Spencer Jarrett: I can move around the entire space four floors, [00:00:53] Spencer Jarrett: 90 thousand square feet, [00:00:55] Spencer Jarrett: and they can see clearly what was happening, [00:00:57] Spencer Jarrett: and you can take dimensions without having to be there. [00:01:01] Rachel Kurth: Being able to utilize Matterport, [00:01:03] Rachel Kurth: our MEP engineers, reduce their travel to our job by 50 percent. [00:01:07] David Purdy: On this specific project we just finished, it probably [00:01:10] David Purdy: saved us at least three or four weeks of lost time. [00:01:15] Rachel Kurth: I think in the past, [00:01:16] Rachel Kurth: these technologies have been perks, [00:01:19] Rachel Kurth: whereas now they are just necessities. [00:01:22] Rachel Kurth: I think you're going to continue to see different industries using it, [00:01:26] Rachel Kurth: but I think construction is really enjoying and reaping the benefits of [00:01:31] Rachel Kurth: how this use of technology is [00:01:34] Rachel Kurth: allowing all project partners to be involved throughout the project.
