	Seeking Alpha (17 August 2021) Matterport lands bull rating from Wedbush with unique product offering standing out About: "The firm thinks Matterport’s unique product offering is gaining attractiveness in a huge market with very limited competition." WGAN curates a list of 170+ 3D/360 platforms/software. Matterport competition includes: 1. residential real estate where 3D scan data - not necessary - causes the shoot to take longer and thus cost more. Examples of Competitors in Residential Real Estate 2. Construction where other solutions can capture large spaces 10-20 times faster. That matters for weekly construction documentation. Examples include: CupixWorks (from Cupix) and NavVis 3. Insurance Claims - iGUIDE RADIX is an example. We'll discuss this solution on WGAN-TV Live at 5 on Thursday, 26 August 2021 About: '"The company is rapidly growing with a current install base of 330K+ customers across all different verticals (residential/commercial real estate, AEC, travel/hospitality, repair/insurance, industrial/retail, etc.) in over 150 different countries." These numbers seem inflated by free accounts using the Matterport CAPTUR3D app only. Analysts should ask Matterport to explain why/how: 1. "Total revenue was $29.5 million, up 21% compared to second quarter of 2020" Source: Matterport 2Q21 Investor Relations Page 3. "Subscription revenue of $15.3 million, up 53% compared to second quarter of 2020" Source: Matterport 2Q21 Investor Relations Page If all subscribers were paid subscribers - and paid subscribers using professional gear, then I would expect subscribers and revenue to grow at the same rate. Your thoughts? About: "...MTTR is currently in a transitional phase from a traditional one-time purchase sales model to a subscription-based model," That seems like a misleading statement. For some time now, Matterport has opened its platform to other 3D/360 cameras. It's never been about making money selling hardware (Pro2 Camera). Your thoughts? Dan
