It is always that "funny" with stocks. $4-5 was predictable even though I'd hope it would go there before going to $32 but dropping below $4 was not. However it does not mean it cannot go even lower. | ||

Matterport is still burning cash (after 10 years) in an environment with progressively rising interest rates. So, what´s the value of a company, that is burning cash? Burning cash, that costs you fresh money. For sure not 1.100.000.000 USD like the current market valuation of MTTR. Probably only 100.000.000 USD which is still a lot. Or the other question is: Can Matterport be profitable? Answer: Probably not with the current business model. First fact is, that the current business model, which could be described as "Free processing in exchange for eternal lock-in to the platform" is burning cash. And second fact is, that this business model is not attracting enough paying clients to become profitable. Matterport still has huge potential, but not with this business model. It´s time for a change. |

It's funny, the stock market drops and then rises consistently. I remember when Pier 1 imports dropped to $1. And then went up to over $400. Expect a whole bunch of people to be scooping up these cheap stocks, and don't forget John Paul Getty was once asked what the stock market will do next. He said it will fluctuate. |

The Motley Fool (9 June 2022) Did Apple Just Put a Nail in Matterport's Coffin? This article (above) summary by @JasperAI My AI Writing Assistant: Apple's RoomPlan feature, while rudimentary compared to Matterport's platform, could pose a serious threat to the company's business. RoomPlan uses an iPhone's camera and LiDAR to map spaces in 3D, which could make it a more viable option for many businesses than Matterport's platform. |

Simply Wall St (12 June 2022) The Chief Financial Officer of Matterport, Inc. (NASDAQ:MTTR), James Fay, Just Sold 36% Of Their Holding We wouldn't blame Matterport, Inc. (NASDAQ:MTTR) shareholders if they were a little worried about the fact that James Fay, the Chief Financial Officer recently netted about US$1.5m selling shares at an average price of US$5.07. That sale reduced their total holding by 36% which is hardly insignificant, but far from the worst we've seen. Source: Simply Wall St -- Here is a summary of this news story by @JasperAI My AI Writing Assistant: The article discusses James Fay, the Chief Financial Officer of Matterport, Inc., selling 36% of their holdings. While this may be cause for concern to some shareholders, James Fay sold the shares at an average price of US$5.07 which is well above the current share price of US$4.19. Additionally, insiders within Matterport have bought and sold shares in the last year, with James Fay selling 300.00k shares worth US$1.5m. |
