I thought I had heard something in one of the Matterport webinars about the ability to take a 360 photo and then convert it to 3D using the cortex info (like they do for 360 only cameras). I scanned a large open space and the camera was having a hard time aligning in the middle of the room so I took 360s in the middle hoping I could convert them after. Anyone know how to do this? Thanks!

It is a little wonky and not a given. If you shoot a 360 with the Pro1 or Pro2 you should be able to place that on the mini map in the model then if you tap on it again you should have the option to convert it to 3D |

so you do it before upload? I'll give that a try. Thanks!

@BrettMtn If you are able to do the 360 view and convert to 3D and it aligns properly then you’d just upload as normal |

But, yes this is prior to uploading the model and I’d see how it works and aligns on site

The Matterport camera 360 to 3D works but, a supported 360 camera I find works more consistently
