My name is Darryl Biggs and am the President of Threat Mitigation-Risk Control Group, located in Arizona. Purpose of joining this group is that I'm looking at purchasing 3D Vista Pro and looking for the right camera for this software. I've been looking at the following cameras- Ultracker Aleta S2C, Ricoh V Theta, Vuze XR, Panono, and Matterport. This is to conduct Advances and then layout the buildings to team members in order to have an overview of the building in 2D, 3D and VT. I'm not sure if I could take the information from MP and import into 3D Vista, if not, then will need a camera that I can and looking for advice. I do own a DSL, however that would take to much time to take the photos. We usually have 30-60 minutes in a building to shoot and need a 360 degree camera. Thank you Darryl |

@DarrylB220 I would hold off just a little while and look at the Ricoh Theta z1, at about $999 a little cheaper but would probably do what you need. The reason to wait they are not available for about another week. Welcome to the forum. Ron |

Hello, My name is Matt and I live in the Tampa, FL area. I am a school teacher and part-time realtor. I got the idea to look into Matterport for the 3D property tours with thoughts of marketing myself to other agents and making extra money that way since it's relatively quick and I can do it in the afternoons when I'm done teaching. Unfortunately my real estate ventures aren't really soaring because I can't devote my full time to it. Being that this wouldn't be my primary job I figure I can undercut local pricing and get some decent business. The pricing seems a little confusing, but I think I have a decent handle on it. At $3,400 the camera is a bit steep, and I just saw that they support some much cheaper 360 degree cameras, which I thought about trying to see how it goes. Just looking for thoughts and advice on breaking into the industry. I might have to sell another house or two before I pull the trigger as I'd prefer to pay for all the equipment up front rather than throw any of it on a credit card, but I want to do all of my homework. The Pro2 camera seems like the best option, especially with the added benefits & processing credit. Just seems like A LOT of stuff to consider. |

Hi, my name is Sid. I'm a licensed broker from St. Louis, MO. My wife has a real estate team and I manage the day to day backend tasks (which until about a year ago included taking photos). Finally pulled the trigger on buying a Matterport Pro 2 camera after seeing the WP3D plugin. Our first two tours/single property websites went life last week. I am evaluating becoming a service provider. Want to get a bit more experienced with the camera first, then I think I'll up my membership to get the pricing guide so I can fully evaluate it. If anyone has any examples of how agents/brokers are marketing their Matterport/Single Property Sites, I'd love to see them (in particular direct mail/postcards to expired listings). I have seen the WGAN videos. I will post my first two tours for advice in a separate post because I'm not really happy with the flow of navigation through the homes. |

Hey All, My name is John. I am an independent adjuster out of North Carolina. I have been researching Matterport, Cupix, cameras etc. for the past few months. My research led me to this place where I have followed posts of Dan and others. I have noticed that there really hasn't been a lot of talk on here for adjusters so I am going to jump into the arena and try a few things out and try to provide others some insight based on my future experiences. |

Good Evening Everyone, My name is Harold Jackson. I have to say, this is very overwhelming for me. I am however excited to be here and in the 3D business. I just received my Pro2 from Matterport and not sure what type of marketing I should do. Should I sign up on KoaWare or market this new adventure myself? Bottom line is that I want to say goodbye to my day job and get right into marketing myself. I don't have any examples of my work to show so what do I do to show proof that I am worthy of someone's business? I need help and guidance. Where do I begin? Thank You, Harold 470-301-1997 |

Hi, My name is Tony and the owner of Spaceform Design Build Interiors clickable text, an interior remodeling co based in NYC. We work mainly in apartments throughout the city. I've been interested in 360 3d view with digital measuring capability. Would like to come up with a value add service package to my clients (homeowners, designers, real estate agents). I use Sketchup for my design work so I would want to convert into a SKP file. I see many possibilities for enhancing my business. There is so much information here and other companies i.e. Captur3d etc., to take in. Rather than getting a camera myself, thinking of teaming up with a service provider. Looking for input and guidance, including the right service providers. Thanks! Tony |

My name is Chris Geiger and I live and work in Fresno California. I have been doing commercial photography for more than 20 years now. Currently I do weddings (mostly in the fall) and real estate photography. I currently shoot about 300 homes a year. I am new to Matterport. I signed up for a free account to use with my Insta 360 one X camera that I already owned. I felt that I wanted to offer 3D tours to add to my video and stills and aerial photography offerings. I did a few homes with just the Insta 360 to get a feel for the software and to see if some of my regular clients would likely become repeat customers. I figure I need to do at least 4-5 tours a month to make it worth the investment of getting a real camera. After just a month of testing, I made the decision to move forward and purchase a used Pro2 Light camera. I've posted my first tour with the new to me Pro2 camera below. |

Hello Network, My name is Mellissa and I operate Salient3d.com in West Michigan, a Matterport Service Provider and video-photo production company. I'm quite frustrated with Matterport as many are yet I'm going to hang in there a while and see what this turning of the tide will leave us with. Matterport hasn't been a big part of my offerings and my company has been rather a moonlight in operation, however, I also worked for Art Institute of Pittsburgh Online and they've gone under, leaving me with this challenge as my mainstay abruptly. Ouch. Anyway, I also do a lot of video editing and would love to remote gig for others and I can work in short turnaround times as I did for Yelp years back. Hello All, Well first I would like to thank Dan for putting this awesome group together. There is so much great information that is being shared here that it can take a very long time to take it all in. I was a commercial photographer for many years in the New York City area but since moving down here to South Florida I would like to enter the real estate photography market as most of you are you doing. Anyway I look forward to more WGAN-TV shows. Once again thanks Dan for all your hard work in putting this Forum together! |

My name is Rick, and I am a Sacramento CA native and long time Freelance Photographer. Becoming a photographer was not something I planned. I always had the knack but never took it seriously. As a Photo Booth owner, I thought a good time would be now. It wasn’t until recently I started walking around with a second camera, second shooting my booth events as I saw them. What I found, is these events can sure capture the personality and enthusiasm of people in more than one candid way. The best part of this job is that I get to interact and be part of the fun. I love to see people laughing and having a good time. This is what inspires me. I am combining this background to bring you a unique, 21st century immersive 3D 360 experience. --- |
