We purchased the LitraTorch 2.0 Reality Capture Lighting Kit a few weeks ago and were finally able to test it out over the last week. We helped out one of our construction clients with a project. The scan was done at night time and the location did not have power or lighting. The only lighting used was from the Litra Torch. We used all three lights and all were set at the second setting(medium). Our company has been really impressed with the results and we would recommend this product to all Matterport camera users. Thanks to Dan and this network for all the great topics, advice and products. [/matterport] |

We bought 3 sets of them and were very, very happy with the results. We have some projects that we work on that have to be done outside before dawn or after dusk and were blown away by the results. They mount very securely. We highly recommend them for interior or exterior.

This looks great. In the past I've used an LCD flat panel mounted on my Pro but this looks better as you can set each of the 3 Litra's at different angles to equalize luminance across the wide angle of view. How is the battery life? Can the Litras operate while recharging? Did you create a rig to recharge all three while shooting? I've done construction sites over 25K sq ft, so curious. Thanks for posting this. |

The battery life is several hours, you can select intensity (low, medium, bright) on the lights or by wifi from your cell. It comes with a rig (base) that mounts on the top front of the Matterport, the lights have their own bracket and snap onto the base. It is balanced (light weight) and does a GREAT job. There is a video that was on WGAN, that is on their website that shows all of this, and a tour of a cave. One of our projects is to scan drive thrus for a company, and they need to be done dawn or before, dusk or after. These lights are really good. As I understand, this rig was built just for the Matterport Cameras. HIGHLY RECOMMEND
