Hard to say without knowing what you're trying to do and where your bottleneck is occurring. Both are quite powerful. The Air is a bit better than the Pro for single-threaded apps; the Pro is a bit better than the Air for multi-threaded apps.

The Pro has the LIDAR feature and more Ram (6 Vs.3 MB). Get the most memory you can afford.

Thanks @dadavis Can you explain abut the single-threaded apps & multi-threaded apps. This ipad I like to buy gonna be only for the pro 2 camera . the only app gonna run on it or work will be capture app. |

@dunetop i don't need the I pad for more thing then the capture app. So the lovely LIDAR is nice to have. I'm worried that me and my photographer's will need to be careful so much about the pro so I prefer chipper and smaller version. |

@geemaps Multi-threaded apps can divide their processes between multiple CPUs (which includes multi-core CPUs and virtual CPUs) and run those processes in parallel. This can increase performance, as well as lower costs by allowing processes to share physical resources. It is extremely difficult to code, however. Some tasks benefit little if at all from multi-threading, no matter how well coded. Problems with such things as concurrency and error detection actually can degrade performance. Adobe Lightroom is a multi-threaded app. I don't know about Capture since I'm not on Matterport, so you may wish to contact their tech support people. You also could open a process explorer on your iPad while Capture is running and see how many CPUs it's using, but it may only multi-thread certain processes. |
