Peli 1510 case - padded dividers versus foam13799

Hi, in terms of fitting a MP Pro2 camera into a Peli case, would you suggest using the padded dividers or using the snug-fitting foam that came with the camera? The padded dividers go all the way around the edges of the case adding extra protection and the inserts could be probably shaped in a way to hold the camera in place. The foam is too big for the case, so in order to make it fit I'd have to try cutting it with a Stanley knife. |

Having had several hard cases I am one to always go with the divider type kit inside. The main reason for me is that back in the days of film (yes I'm that old) the what was called pick and pluck foam would tend to break down and get everywhere. So I started using the dividers, and haven't looked back. I know the custom cuts are usually a better grade foam and if you are going to use a case for a singular purpose, with a camera that doesn't have removable lenses, or vents that little scraps of foam material can get into, you'll be fine with either. @PWIMAGING Yes. Likely the key to using My Case Builder with custom foam (not pick and pluck) is: ✓ Same gear for every shoot, such as: Matterport Pro2 Camera and iPad Dan |
