Asteroom Virtual Tour by We Get Around Atlanta Chief Photographer Dan Smigrod | Virtual Staging by Asteroom | Shot with Labpano Pilot One 360 Camera | [See Before Virtual Staging] Until Matterport does this, your 1st virtual tour should be via Asteroom Hi All, If you are a residential real estate photographer researching Matterport versus competitors to help you decide if/how to get started with offering 24/7 Open House Virtual Tours to your clients, the short answer is get started with the Asteroom virtual tour platform; until there is a Matterport Pay Per Tour Bundled (not going to happen!) that includes six months hosting like Asteroom does in its Asteroom Pay Per Tour Bundle. First, some challenges getting started with Matterport: 1. Matterport Free Plan - Matterport's Free forever Plan is lame. While you get one active space for one user, the fine print "Top Features" says, "View in Cloud privately" only so you can not publish or share this model publicly. 2. Matterport Starter Plan ($9.99 per month) - if you are just starting out, do you really want to commit to a subscription without knowing whether you will be doing more than 1-5 virtual tours? As soon as you do your 6th Matterport tour, you will need to upgrade to the $69 per month plan. And, while you are on the Matterport Starter Plan, you can not order 2D schematic floor plans from Matterport [which is a great Add On that you should be able to charge $49, $79, $99 per floor (or more).] The Asteroom Pay Per Tour Bundle ($49.99 | 1st one free for WGAN Forum Members) includes six months hosting and 2D floor plans (and much more). And, if your first 360 camera is a Ricoh Theta V, Ricoh Theta Z1 or Insta360 One X, Asteroom includes seamless app integration for a super-fast workflow and if you don't like Asteroom, you can still switch to Matterport and use these 360 cameras. The Asteroom learning curve is super-easy and super-fast for both shooting the tour (about 15 minutes for 3,000 SQ FT) and post production (if you would like to trick-out your tour). The Asteroom "magic" continues with virtual staging. At just $49.99 per virtually staged - and the ability to easily order just one - you can offer virtual staging as an Add On for $99, $149, $199 or more. (free offer) With the simplicity of the Asteroom Pay Per Tour Bundle - pay only when you need to create a virtual tour - you get everything that you need to get started with offering 24/7 Open House Virtual Tours as an Add On for $99, $149 or $199 or more. Residential Real Estate Photographers (like YOU!) can double their income by offering 24/7 Open House Virtual Tours powered by Asteroom as an Add On to a photo shoot; offering 2D schematic floor plans as an Add On and offering virtual staging as an Add On. Because you can shoot an Asteroom virtual tour fast and because the turn-key cost for an Asteroom tour is $49.99 for WGAN Forum Members, you could easily shoot an Asteroom virtual tour for every listing; gift the first one to your client for free and let them know how you charge if they would like this Add On going forward. This free WGAN Calculator should be helpful to understanding how you can scale your residential real estate photography business: ✓ CHEAT SHEET: How Real Estate Photographers (YOU!) Can Double Your Income! Until Matterport offers six months hosting in a Pay Per Tour Bundle option - not going to happen - residential real estate photographers should get started with Asteroom. Of these nine (9) virtual tour plans - of 150+ 3D/360 virtual tour platforms/software - I compare in this ... ✓ Free WGAN Cheat Sheet: Which Virtual Tour Platform is Best (for Me)? ... only Asteroom and iGUIDE offer a Pay Per Tour Bundle. And, iGUIDE is for busy, professional real estate photographers that are willing to make an upfront investment in peo gear (you need to buy a DSLR from iGUIDE that has has special software installed). So, unless you are ready to commit yourself to $69 per month with a Matterport Cloud account, your first virtual tour should be with Asteroom (and it is free). Plus, here are three free WGAN-TV Training U in Asteroom courses by Asteroom Co-Founder and CEO @EricTsai. 1. WGAN-TV Intro to Asteroom Virtual Tour Platform with Founder and CEO Eric Tsai 2. Deep-Dive Demo of Asteroom Desktop Editor Features (Also Includes Asteroom 2D Schematic Floor Plans) 3. WGAN-TV Asteroom Virtual Staging Demo and Discussion with Asteroom Co-Founder and CEO Eric Tsai And, here are two Asteroom Special Offers: Offer 1 by Asteroom: 1st Asteroom Pay Per Tour Bundle is Free for WGAN Forum Members Offer 2 by WGAN: 1st Asteroom Virtual Staging of a 360 is free for WGAN Forum Members in October 2020 What questions do you have about getting started with Asteroom? Best, Dan P.S. I took Asteroom on as a Gold Member because they are firing on all cylinders for residential real estate photographers (like you). And, that's a story that I wanted to actively share with the Community. You can see that I have started a ton of WGAN Forum discussions about Asteroom to help those new to 24/7 Open House Virtual Tours and Matterport Service Providers that need an alternative solution for shooting listings under $300,000. |

Suggestion for Matterport classic account owner: Providing Pay Per Tour Bundle at USD49.99 within Matterport system, to make profit at least USD3385 per year. Below is the calculation: ====================================================== A classis plan of Matterport: USD49 x 12 months = USD588 = 36 (showcases processing); USD499 for yearly payment. One Classic Matterport Account cost USD499 per year, that can hold 100 showcases for one full year or 200 showcases for six months each. 36 showcases of the 200 showcases can be processed for free, because each month you can process 3 showcases for free with the USD49 classis account. The other 164 (200 - 36) pcs showcases will cost USD3116 (USD19 x 164) for processing. Total cost for 200 pcs six months storage and processing for showcases (<100points) is USD3615 (3116 + 499). So each six months showcase will cost USD3615 / 200 = USD18.075 plus the floorplan at USD14.99 = USD33.065 If you (one classic account owner) provide a service at USD49.99 for each 6 months storage showcase (<100points) with a floorplan, you can get income of USD3385 per year. 3385 = (49.99 - 33.065)*200 For the floorplan, Matterport can't provide USD14.99 floorplan to showcase that captured by 360 camera or iphone. But I think you can get 3rd party services for them at a lower price. BTW if you own another new USD69 per month (USD708 per year) account that can get free process and transfer the result to your classic account, and you can get 50 more 6 months storage. You can get double profit for sure. It is about USD7543. (49.99 - 14.99 - (499 + 708)/250)*250 = 7543 You only need to book your Matterport account, send your account information to your customer and transfer showcases between your account, click button for floorplan generation... No need to go customer place or to do capture. =================================================== Thank you for reading. JuMP team from Beijing China |
