I haven’t scanned in about a week but today scanning a 5 storey office block with lots of south facing glass

There are no black areas.

Did Matterport fix this in the last capture app update?

It could be the window tint.

You are right Barbara it could be the window tint. Even with it the sunlight was very strong.

I really hope you are wrong and I am right

Fingers crossed

I have had this happen many times. It’s a classic indication that the glass has been tinted/coated with a filter for UV/IR. This is done to help save on energy costs as it keeps the interior cooler. Some of these coatings have ND value as well, functioning like sunglasses, but some are completely in the non-visible spectrum.

I agree with Home3D about tinted windows. I have had it a a few times in some apartments and one sale office.
