How to Create an Asteroom Virtual Tour using 360s Views Shot by a Matterport Pro2 3D Camera Hi All, The Asteroom virtual tour (above) was created using nearly all of the 360s from this Matterport Digital Twin shot with a Matterport Pro1 3D Camera. I globally added my nadir logo patch (created by TresDePro). The tour was assembled by Asteroom whom also lightly edited the 360s to brighten the color (automatically) for WGAN Members. Plus, at my request, Asteroom removed the Matterport Camera from two different bathroom mirrors. Here is the Matterport Digital Twin to the Asteroom Virtual Tour (above). While I would recommend that you use a Ricoh Theta Z1 (1st choice) or other 360 1-click camera to shoot an Asteroom tour (Z1 shot examples) to (improve speed of workflow for onsite shoot), you can use a Matterport Pro2 3D Camera to shoot an Asteroom tour. How to Create an Asteroom using 360s Shot by a Matterport Pro2 3D Camera 1. Shoot one (1) Matterport 360 Scan 2. Shoot all the other 360s as 360 Views 3. Process the tour via Matterport 4. Download the 360 Views (DOWNLOAD360 by @TresDePro can do this for you) 5. Sign-in to Asteroom Cloud account on your desktop or laptop 6. Upload all the Matterport shot 360 Views This workflow is a great way to take Asteroom for a spin before you buy a Ricoh Theta Z1 or other 360 1-click camera. Note: the Asteroom walk around experience would be better with fewer 360s. I did the above so that we could do a nearly Apple-to-Apples comparison and proof of concept for Matterport to Asteroom workflow. Here is the same Asteroom tour without the professionally editing of the 360s by Asteroom. Plus, since you only need to take 360s that are in line-of-site for the Asteroom AI to auto-assemble your Asteroom virtual tour (one per room, hallways, exteriors), the time to shoot an Asteroom tour will be far less than Matterport. That's important for shooting budget conscious listings where you may only be able to Add On $149 or $199. | Hi Dan I can see using this for a lot of outdoor bars and restaurants which i had trouble trying to scan outdoors in sunshine even with Matterport and the only time i can scan those is after they clean up from night before and they open at 11 am . I cant do at dusk as they are now fully in operation. Maybe this will allow a walkthrough and dollhouse for those places. I will try with my Matterport and see where it goes. harry |
