I agree. I have not taken on "By Owner" clients for 9 years. Too much maintenance and when their generally over priced home does not sell...they start blaming the photos. Too many professional entities out there to waste your time with "owners" | ||

@adc1967 I have had the opposite experience I have had a couple FSBO's (though not my bread and butter) and they gave me full control to do my thing and sold quickly with multiple offers. But, I am in a hot market right now | ||

FSBO work for some photographers, I just avoid since I only have a few residential agents and focus on commercial-Architectural work. | ||

@adc1967 Sorry for the delay. He described himself as a realtor/real estate investor. I rescanned the property and disregarded his request that I scan from the threshold and the rescan was infinitely better. | ||

@castaway This was the first and last time I take direction from someone that doesn't even own the camera and at the same time not know anything about how the Matterport system worked. I rescanned the property using best practices and there were no alignment issues. I took a page from lilnitsch's book, opened the patio door before starting the scan, scanned the attached patio and there were no weird alignment issues or odd glare from the lights. I'm going to start targeting builders. I've landed one but there are several in the area where I live. I'm done with Realtors. So many here in Texas are still holding open houses and insist that "photos" and "photo tours" do a better job than Matterport. There are others that are leery of the price even though I'm probably the most affordable in the area. I had an inside contact at the builder I'm affiliated with, so should I be talking to the director of sales or marketing at the other organizations? Thanks in advance |
