Inman (16 July 2020) Remember all that fuss about VR? What happened there? "Once upon a time, virtual reality was touted as a potential game-changer for many industries. So, why didn't it take off as expected? And what potential does it still hold?," reports Inman. (It's a long article. AR/MX is the future of this tech so we need better applications, standardized menus. Still missing is virtual staging. Funny you should post this but Three TV shows Also use VR and or scanning. First (non-use) of scanning (for most of us) is crime scenes. Oddly dark, and funny is Supergirl who fought against a computer bug that would assault and kidnap users. Black Mirror cannot save the day when Matterport can’t figure out security, privacy and copyright. |

A great use of VR is in the BBC's series "Your Home made Perfect". You can watch the trailer. If you are in the UK or certain other countries (NZ for one) you can watch the series. Stunning VR effects. And now Matterport have announced support for Oculus. |
