If you could design a monopod what features would it have? Mine would be extendable 4 sections with twist locks, the top pole would be small so the 360 camera would not see it. The base would have an integrated weight system, either soft weights or a machined block. I would also make the poles a little larger to accommodate cables so you can attach other things like an extra battery. What are your thoughts? How would you make a monopod better??

@somd4522 I would incorporate a cylinder style battery in the bottom to give more weight plus extra battery life.

Take one of the Ifootage Cobra models then: Add leveling to the head. Replace the hand grip with one that longer, thicker, softer & still waterproof (Similar to an extension pole). Optional Portable Charging Bank holder with pole mount clamps (similar to a bike phone mount). Optional stackable clip-on weight system that attaches/snaps in place on the feet where the "cut-outs" are located. *Side note: I used an extension pole with the grip mentioned above, a Rocontrip Bike mount, Magic Arm crab clamp, GoPro, etc. to build an underwater camera rig to video my son's swim strokes/technique so he could review and makes changes accordingly. It worked quite well + he made it to state finals and I know it was due to this rig being created....maybe a his skill and abilities played a role also. |
