Hi I live in the UK (Scotland). I see a lot off people charge for tours by square feet. What would you say would be a good rate? It's ok to answer in dollars (if there are no UK on the thread. |

I just charge by feel but have been thinking that charging per scan makes the most sense, in my market something like $4.50/scan would be about right | ||

I cannot say per square foot and I am in Australia so my price is in AUD but I charge $2/sqm maximum unless it is a small under 250sqm space with people walking in it during scanning. For these I will add surcharge as it is harder to do with people interupting scanning process. After 250 sqm my rate goes down in small 5-10% discounts. 1 sqm is about 10.8 sqf and AUD/GBP rate is 0.55 so if you convert it it is $0.1 GDP per sqf it may look cheap judging by its number but it will let you to earn quite a good income if you are busy scanning every day even with a good discount for huge spaces or multiple jobs from one client. BTW, I have thought you use metric system in UK, not sure about Scotland. If it is the same charge per sqm not per sqf if you want less confusion from your clients. It will be about 1GBP per sqm if you convert my rate. |
