Found this old thread on accessibility and to clarify some things first as accessibility is too often understood wrong. 1. Accessibility is not only for blind users or users with permanent disabilities - in general its a benefit for all users as also the developers. Accessible code is better to read and understand. 2. Accessibility support is needed in various situations, also for users without any disability. Microsoft provides a good overview on this: https://www.microsoft.com/design/inclusive/ So my question now is: is the provided iFrame embed by Matterport compliant to the ADA and European accessibility requirements (WCAG 2.1 AA)? |

And if the answer is no, what can we do to make it compliant? | ||

A related post by Paolo Tosolini. In this regards also voice control is interesting. For this an essential foundation is keyboard access and proper valid markup. |

@DanSmigrod - thanks a lot. At least I now know somebody to discuss the topic and current status in detail. Will also need to have a detailed check of the current (still) existing issues and check if some of them can be solved with an "alternative" UI made with the SDK. Two major areas for me at the moment are keyboard access and possibilities for a voice based control interface, which often relies on keyboard access features. It´s still a long way to go to fix this, as also to provide understandable standards (WCAG and WAI-ARIA are quite complex) incl. guidelines for virtual tour creators and developers. |

@mori Yes. It's likely that you will have a great conversation with Atlanta-based Barnes Creative Studios Founder Steve Barnes (@BarnesCreative) regarding Matterport tours meets ADA compliance. Please keep us posted. Best, Dan |
