Can't place a Mattertag on an object - is it Friday?12227

I've done hundreds of Mattertags but this one was/is the most entertaining. I tried maybe 40 placements on this table and they all "slide off" to the rug. Either it's Friday and Miller time, I've gone brain dead, or what?.... The fur rug's surface, in some interdimensional interplay with the mesh in our world, caused a "distortion field" on the low object above it?

I'm thinking about making this into a video game for MSPs.....

@dave3d

Is there "mesh" in mesh view where you want to add the tag?

(That's the only thing I can think of.)

Apparently no mesh exists on the table surface as you can't place a tag anywhere on the table top. Just a bit unusual.

@dave3d

At least you now why you could not place a MatterTag there!

No mesh on the table could be the result of:

1. black table
2. white table
3. silver table
4. shnny surface
5. sunlight on the surface

Any of these apply?

It's a puzzlement... I didn't do the capture on this one but doesn't really look like the any of the above apply. Many other objects in the scan of the same wood variety and color had no issue. It's in the middle of a building. This tour had between 100 and 200 Mattertags. The tour I did before this one had 60ish. Nothing like this on anything but the one table. Just a "Friday anomaly" I guess. I'll let you know if I see anything that appears as an identifiable/verifiable cause.
