Embedding a Google Search Query Bar into a Matterport tour?12111

aeg421 private msg quote post Address this user
Hello WGAN community,

One of my clients is interested in having a search query bar inserted into a MP tour. It could be in the upper left hand corner, in a mattertag, or elsewhere. They'd like it to start as a Google search query bar and eventually change it so that viewers can type in keywords that lead them into/are linked to the client's online database.

Has anyone done this sort of thing before/is it possible?

Thanks!

I think the only way would be the Mattertags.
Unless there is a 3rd party company doing it but in 4 years I have never heard of this being tried ?
Good Luck...Douglas

Thanks for your input, Douglas. I'm actually unsure re: how to insert a search query bar into a Mattertag. Do you happen to know?

Show an embed Matterport tour to a web developer who is good with CSS, HTML DOM and client side Javascript. Matterport is complex only on the scanning and processing sides. When it is loaded into your page it is just a bunch of CSS, HTML and Javascript. A good experienced client side developer can do whatever they want with it.

I have posted here the code for a custom clickable logo on top of a Matterport tour. It is just an overlay that ads an image on top of a tour when it loads from a Matterport cloud.

In your case it will be a text field and a search button.

@Wingman, thanks for your advice! I'm sorry, where can I find the code for custom clickable logo that you mentioned? I would definitely like to add that (and change it to a text field with search button).
