Just wondering whether it's possible to add furniture to a tour of a vacant property.

@NewsdeskVT

Yes. Please see this WGAN Forum discussion:

That said, as @rastas says, it is expense for a home.

It’s really a solution for a multi-family community- houses or apartments - where you have many homes to sell or to lease.

Brilliant thanks - can it be done is the first question, can someone afford it is another.
Much appreciated.

The moment a client mentions "virtual staging" I introduce them to 360 tour options instead of Matterport. It's still not cheap, but at least it's doable.

Virtual staging is less expensive than real staging, right? I think virtual staging pricing is a good value for the right client. For example, a potential client might be a college apartment complex with many units of a similar model. They can virtually stage each model type one time, and then have it to show hundreds of student as they move in and out, twice a year, for many years to come.

I assume the price for virtual staging will drop in the coming years.

Just a personal observation, but this COVID-19 event is leaning the entire RE industry toward more virtual services. Things will open up one day, but I think the world has learned that proximity to others exposes us all to illness, i.e., I don't think going forward that the Italians and French will be kissing and hugging as much, including my own mother-in-law who is French and 92. Our understanding of how illness spreads has dramatically increased.

So I tend to think virtual tours will now be a mainstay of RE. And as these become more standard as "the way" people first shop for homes, over time I think virtual staging will increase and real staging will decline. Not for high-end homes maybe, but for many.

For those who have a 360 camera - I'd encourage you to try Asteroom, especially for virtual staging.

We have started our virtual staging service (both 2D and 3D)

Even though you cannot use it for Matterport, you can virtually stage 360 photos with Visual Stager. And you can do it yourself. This is my first attempt:

I also think that, due to the current situation, virtual staging is becoming more and more valuable. I just completed a project where the agent wanted the entire house virtually staged (13+ rooms). She also needed virtual remodeling. Here is the listing.
