| TheRealDeal (17 April 2020) 3D virtual reality firm Matterport lays off a third of staff - VC-backed company, which has raised $155M to date, attributed the move to fallout from the coronavirus "Even with real estate agents now relying on virtual showings, the 3D video company Matterport has cut one-third of its staff," reports TheRealDeal. "The Sunnyvale, Calif.-based company has slashed 90 jobs, according to the Silicon Valley Business Journal, attributing the layoffs to fallout from the coronavirus pandemic." | This is a terrible time for even some of the strongest companies around the world. I can't say that I'm surprised by the action that they've taken....and its likely going to help the company stick around a bit longer than if they hadn't. Hopefully when things blow over, folks will be able to get their jobs back! | ||

| Just a question and a thought now that they laid off that many of their staff does that make them eligible for federal relieve money. If they use the language that layoffs were for covid reasons. | ||
