Seeking comments on shooting real estate when no one is home and the listing agent is not available.

A perfect time to supplement your flatware collection.

I hate scanning when ANYONE else is there! Someone is going to wind up in a scan and it takes twice as long making sure the "coast is clear" so to speak.

I request that nobody is in the home when I shoot. Being a Realtor gives me an edge in homeowners being ok with this since I have access to the lockbox.

To me it's always preferable if no one is around. Like others said they tend to get in the way. I think it was @Property3dNZ who had the best comment. The matterport shoots out a lethal amount of radiation, and I only have one lead vest, so move I've tried that a few times, but apparently the humor in the norther hemisphere isn't the same as the south.
So yeah, ask them to leave, do your thing and move to the next job.

From a legal perspective you expose yourself to risk or liability.
I always prefer that someone is there besides me, sidesteps potential headaches.

Vincent, that is the issue. Agree with all who like to work alone but it feels kind of exposed.

Well make sure you carry applicable liability insurance.
I do like it when the agent meets me there and then sits in their car until I finish, and they check over everything and lock up.

That sounds good. Give him/her a good book to read

As long as the seller and Listing agent agreed to have the property scanned there should not be a problem. Get permission in a email or writing not just verbal. Always good to have everything in writing. You Know just in case!
