Hi All, The WGAN Forum Question of the Day for Friday, 28 February 2020: Do you require a deposit for client - new client? - to book a Matterport shoot (or charge a cancellation fee)? [How do you handle clients that frequently cancel / reschedule?] Best, Dan |

I don't charge a cancellation fee or require a deposit from any client, old or new. It's never been a problem as of yet. If I do have a new client cancel at the last minute, I would probably require a deposit for future bookings. | ||

I have never required a deposit, and in five years I’ve only once not been paid in full (got only 1/2). But this thread invites me to share an interesting recent story. About Nov 1st I did a project with stills, 360 tour, production video, website, twilight - the works. Bill was about $2000. I completed the work and then no payment came. The agent said his bank account got messed up, several stories which sounded questionable, but what can you do. I had done a dozen jobs for the same client in the past without issue, so c’est la vie. Two months passed, finally I was paid in full about Jan 1st via Zelle. Then in early February another $1000 shows up in my account via Zelle, from the same agent. I called him, he said “since I held you up so long, I’m paying you forward for when I get my next listing.” Then a week ago another $1000 shows up. Now he’s $2000 pre-paid! Last week he got his next listing, I’ve done the work (just stills this time) and he still has a net balance pre-paid. Every client is different. This one, certainly. Pretty nice, eh? |

@Home3D Wow! We should all be so lucky with clients that want to pre-pay! Enjoy your weekend, Dan |
