Hi Dan, It might be helpful to know which person would be the right contact for this? Director of communications? Facilities? Etc. Thanks in advance. Charlie Abrahams |

Oh. Okay. The only reason I ask is that I had shot the Boston University Boathouse and I've had a hard time getting to the right decision maker to see about expanding on the idea. I've had the help of the Head Coach but to no avail. The head of Communications seems to be really jazzed about this but then has been MIA. Here is the link to the tour: clickable text |

@Cabrahams In any large company - in this case a college - you need to find a cheerleader that wants to solve a big problem: generating revenue are the best problems. Saving time, not so much. Good examples ... 1. How to raise more money ($$$) 2. How to increase enrollment ($$$) 3. How to increase rental income for meeting spaces ($$$) 4. How to increase donations by alumni ($$$) Bad examples ... (no $$$) 5. How to help students find their classrooms 6. Social media engagement For We Get Around, our cheerleader wanted to help increase enrollment in continuing education and increase rental income. I "found" our cheerleader at a social media event six months prior whom remembered me and reached out to me. There were many stakeholders that needed to say yes. It would not have been possible without our cheerleader. In our case, the Dean and Head of Marketing needed to give a green light. The event space rental person needed to say it would be helpful. The building facilities person needed to provide access when students where not in the building. Special spaces, such as the commercial kitchen used as a classroom needed to be reserved with that department head. Enough people to make your head spin. Happy holidays, Dan |
