Moving objects or people in MP scans - problem with alignment?10494

Hello Fellow MSPs. Anyone have any experience with moving objects in your Matterport 3D scans in terms of alignment in the capture app? I have had a cat or small dog run through my scan before, but never had an alignment problem as a result, just had to re-scan that position to remove the blur created when the animal ran by. Just wondering if anyone has experience, in a retail environment, where larger objects (patrons/customers) are present and walking around in the field of view by the Pro2. Thanks in advance for your feedback. |

@lilnitsch Thanks for this. Hopefully, the quantity of patrons walking through the space will be minimal. Based on the client's intent for the data, people should not be a huge impediment. Guess we'll see! Thanks again.

I have scanned several retail stores with people in them and it did not affect alignment. The purpose of the scans was for construction / Matterpak data collection so having a few people in the scans was acceptable.

@schaferu Finding the scan positions with that particular carpet was a bit of a chore.

@lilnitsch how did you stay out of the scans? Run and hide?

@3SixtyNow I was in every scan of the tour above (far too many people to leave my Z1 alone) early the next morning I did go through and re-scan & I am in a scan or two but this was for my own purposes and got a lot of contacts doing so |
