Surveying accuracy was not mentioned and is a more complicated topic to address. I've seen similar videos (both 360 and regular FOV) made by placing the camera on an extendable pole (up to 30') (see Mike Ty video on the Insta360 3 Meter Extended Selfie Stick). Additional smoothness can be achieved with a DSLR or iPhone by mounting it on a gimbal on the pole.
