Question of the Day: Do you shoot RAW or JPEG Real Estate Photos (and why)? DanSmigrod 20 3 yearsShawn_P (310): I am a YouTube student of Nathan Cool. I shoot in raw. Depending on if I’m doing a window pull, I shoot two to three exposures of those three one is a flash shot. I do my color corrections in Lightroom Classic, then export the photos as layers in photoshop, then blend the flash /ambient photos. Raw gives you more flexibility with exposure and color than jpeg
An optimum time (after sunrise) to do 360s and NOT get nuclear windows? DanSmigrod 7 4 yearsWingman (4504): If it is the time I have specified above there will be no Sun blasting. The Sun will be still/already below horizon. If it is just for internal scans and in order to eliminate overexposed windows it will be much more than 27 minutes gap. Unless a property located in a flat area or on a hill with no trees around.
Aurora HDR 2019 leeverdon 12 6 yearsleeverdon (341): @DanSmigrod Hi Dan, Just to clarify. The first image I sent on this thread was an unedited image straight out of Aurora using the 3 bracketed exposure images. I then tried the best I could to edit this image using Photoshop but the results were somewhat satisfactory but not good enough. I wanted to see if a service provider could do a better job. I sent them 3 random bracketed exposure images, the end result as shown in the last image I...
Ricoh Theta V tips for best results with CUPIX? CFster 18 7 yearsleonvanzweel (521): @CFster The set-up instructions of the NN R20 will show you how to set up the lens ring in portrait mode. No diagonal or horizontal.
Poll: What Photo Software do you use most? advancedhdr 17 7 yearsHarlanHambright (2145): Photoshop exclusively. Photomatix for HDR (exclusively). For twilight, I shoot at twilight.

Aperture Priority vs. Manual for Interiors Metroplex360 13 8 yearsMetroplex360 (9436): @JonJ Thanks for sharing. The PhotoMatrix presets that you have seem to be producing pretty nice, consistent results too. I have a preference for neutral color in my images. Perhaps you might think I'm weird, but when I'm not using a sevice like PhotoUp to process my photos, here's what I do: I use the same settings as @JonJ, except Av indoors, and M outdoors. I'm shooting a Nikon D7000, so I'm limited to -2,0,+2 on my brackets. No...

HDR BackUp Q Outside Matterport Services VTLV 3 8 yearsHarlanHambright (2145): 1. It is redundant to shoot RAW for HDR. Except for tweaking color temp, the HDR process is giving you as much dynamic range that RAW will, so shooting in-camera JPEG will alleviate a lot of storage issues. And you can color correct a jpeg just as easily. 2. After you have processed your HDR files, you can delete the original camera files. I have only on a few occasions re-processed old camera files and that was because early HDR was pretty...

MP image quality HarlanHambright 4 9 yearsjencoates (13): Can you capture a still photo while scanning a room? I find the capture afterwards in their workshop to be terrible. The quality is very very bad..though I see others that look great. I'm trying to figure out what the issue is. This is ours captured. All pixelated. https://e3effa51eee72fd900e3-2fb779bd12ec72d4612275342f2c9187.ssl.cf1.rackcdn.com/70413a092bcf2433d8dc52daae5133e9.jpg
Matterport and Lighting KenBanks 8 9 yearsGarySnyder (2143): Hi Cyrus I've still not had a need for the lights as this was a very special case where I was supposed to shoot part of the VT up a very dark spiral stairs up to a tower but as I said it didn't happen. I'd be very interested in seeing what you design and produce as I have to admit I'm intrigued by your suggestion of printing a case for the camera. Best regards Gary
