I have scanned mine a dozen or more times trying to master how changes in scan points affect the flow of the final tour & can minimize the number of scans required. Also, it's helpful to play with different lighting!

I'm pretty sure they are using the lidar device in conjunction with it for enhanced measurements. It's far more accurate than my iPhone 7+. Admittedly the 7+ is getting old, but it still works.
