3 yearsWingman (4339): Ok, four sides 360s do not work as I have expected. May be because of a flat background that is wrapped around each 360. Matterport has a problem understanding that it is just a sphere hanging in space and simply treats it as a part of the background. I think it can be done with more 3D objects like planets and the Sun and keeping background black. When I have time I will try it.

I'm not a fan of 360 Placements as the automatic creation of 'Portals' that connect the placements to the 3D Model are rarely appropriate. If they add the ability to both place and manually create a connection, then I'm a fan.

I shot at HDR5/HIGH for the first few, then dialed down to HDR2/MED and finished the MESH with HDR Off/LOW. One of the reasons I made the investment in Matterport was the ability to create streamlined processes for everything, shaving time off conventional “best practices”. Time is money, the less time I spend on non value added activities, the more time I can devote to revenue generating activities. Not having to stitch, process HDR, upload, place panos (which is a pain in the new GSV app!), create links...literally...

Concerning not seeing on mobile at the same time as desktop - that is rather strange. @BrianAshley - I know, right! I am PRETTY fast at publishing a 200+ pano tour via GoThru. I can do that in about 2 hours. With Matterport to GSV .. the only time spent is on importing to GoThru and adding in 360...

But I really didn't see much of a difference in the transitions or movements from one area to another, much less any improvement in the imaging of the space. What I would like to see, however, are smaller Mattertag icons. Sometimes, depending on proximity or viewing distance, they cover a huge amount of space or portions of furnishing that the viewer is looking at....
