Hi All, A WGAN Member writes that he quoted [redacted] on a project last year, based on the client saying the space was 6,957 SQ FT. This year, the Matterport Service Provider Googled the space and found that the marketing materials say, 11,000 SQ FT. A difference of: 4,043 SQ FT Ouch! Ouch! Ouch! What do you do to protect yourself from a Client under-quoting the size of the space to be scanned? Best, Dan |

@DanSmigrod Specifically state in the quote that it is based on the client's own estimate of area; any actual measurement that deviates from the stated area by more than x% will be charged at $0.0x per sq ft. KF |

We price the the area as stated by client in the quotation we state that it is an extimate and that we will bill on total sq ft scanned and charge a fee per 100 sq ft over and above that scanned. And if it is less than they quoted then we charge less. We use the chrome jump extension to provide exact sq ft for each floor |

I include Matterport floor plans with all my jobs. I let the client know the final price will be based on the total sq footage listed on the floor plans. Most realtors don't figure the 1500 sq ft finished basement into their estimate. | ||
