@Walkabout [blushing]. I have seen many scans where there's not a 'sweet spot' so to speak -- but usually in bathroom situations, if you're taking your job seriously and not just holding contempt to the space that you are in, you will find places where you can place the camera out of the line of fire created by multiple mirrors. Seeing the Matterport Camera in a mirror is my pet peeve -- and SO MANY PEOPLE DO IT. So many people believe that it is acceptable, and it's not. If you are going to invest in an expensive camera that does not allow post editing, then you should do the best you can work with your environment. I had the pleasure of having a Realtor call me and hire me for a scan last week because he viewed a large number of scans on my website to see if I had camera reflections in mirrors. He had ordered a scan from another MSP in the area and the camera was reflected in multiple mirrors and was told that that's normal. And a side note -- if you do scan in front of a mirror in the attempt to complete your mesh or access an area beyond a mirror, you do face the risk of having the Matterport camera reflected in the MESH, which is even more awkward as you can hide a scan -- you cannot control the imagery that is applied to the mesh unless you surgically remove scans from Capture after the tour is complete and reupload hoping for the best. -- So yes, I found the sweet spot |
