Matterport Adds Live Chat: Sales & Support?4199

Hi All,

I notice today (29 March 2017) that Matterport added live chat for sales and support to some of its website.

If you are having trouble getting a fast reply from support, try this Matterport Page.

It looks like they try to force you to enter your email address to triage the inquiries first; BUT, if you wait long enough - without entering your email address - you get a real person at Matterport.

It's not clear if that person is sales or support. My guess is that Matterport is rolling it out with sales first.

Below is a chat exchange I had earlier today (Wednesday, 29 March 2017).

I was surprised by the answer that Matterport would consider using its platform for a space of 40,000 SQ FT with 300+ scans (sounds like a sales person saying that) because their support site officially says models larger than 200 scans are not supported and prone to [multiple issues].

If I am wrong about any of the above, please post below ...

Obviously not enough support training that the answer was wildly differed from their support site.

Since Matterport reads every word of our Forum, I could imagine that there will be some discussion about checking the We Get Around Network Forum knowledge base before answering.

I cannot believe they have a living person online answering chat boxes. Of course it is sales force but maybe in future it will include support.
